The lotus is a symbol of peace and eternity. Lotus flowers usually appear at the feet of deities. The purity of the lotus stems from its growth habit of rooting in the mud and blooming out of the water.
Beautiful Flowers: Its colorful blooms are obviously questionable, but the lotus also has a different life cycle than other plants. It starts as an underwater bud, usually in a shady pond—unaffected by dirty surroundings—and it grows until it emerges from the muddy water into a beautiful blooming flower.
How to plant:
Seed treatment: The shell of lotus seeds is hard and dense, which must be manually scraped off before soaking the seeds. Be careful not to injure the embryos.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before planting/submerging in water, use sandpaper or a sharp knife to cut the seeds apart as shown below.
Sowing time:lotus seeds do not have a hibernation period, as long as the water temperature is above 12°C, they can be sown in any season. Under the condition of suitable temperature and sunlight, it takes about 50-60 days from sowing to flowering. It may take 60-80 days in spring and autumn.
