Five steps for common flower, vegetable and herb seeds. Start small, label your batch and use the conditions suited to your plant.

  1. Seed-starting mix and two small pots

    Plan & prepare

    Choose where and when to sow

    Choose an indoor start or direct sowing. Plan around your local planting date, and check whether your seeds need a pre-treatment.

  2. Seeds placed at different depths in soil

    Sow at the right depth

    General rule: ~2× seed width

    For many common seeds, sow about twice their width deep. Seeds that need light or special treatment have their own covering requirements.

    Warmth & moisture

    Moist, not waterlogged

    Keep the mix evenly moist and let excess water drain. Use the germination temperature recommended for the plant you are growing.

    Light after sprouting

    Indoor seedlings: 12–16 h/day

    Give common indoor seedlings suitable light as they emerge, with a dark period each day. Follow your light’s recommended distance.

  5. A young plant being moved from a pot into garden soil

    Harden off & transplant

    Allow about 1–2 weeks

    Introduce outdoor sun, wind and temperatures a little at a time. Transplant when your seedlings and local weather are ready.

Before you order

How long does shipping take?

Orders are usually prepared for dispatch within 2 business days. Allow 1–2 additional business days during holidays, busy periods, or for orders with many varieties. Estimated U.S. transit is 4–5 business days after dispatch. Transit to other supported destinations is estimated at 7–11 business days after dispatch. Transit estimates exclude preparation time. Weather, agricultural inspections and carrier conditions can cause delays.

Where do you ship, and how much does it cost?

We mainly ship to the U.S., and also to Canada, Australia and parts of Europe. Delivery depends on your exact address, and some remote areas may be restricted.

Free shipping applies to eligible orders with an item total of $28.99 or more after discounts. Shipping options and charges for your address are shown at checkout.

What will I receive with my order?

Check the product page and selected option for the item type, pack size and quantity before you order.

Orders & after-sales

What if my order is delayed or hasn’t arrived?

If shipping updates have stopped for a long time, or your order still hasn’t arrived after the estimated delivery time, email export@haiyiplants.com with your order number and we’ll look into it.

Can I return or exchange items?

Please check your order on arrival. For mold, quality issues, wrong varieties or missing items, contact us within 30 calendar days of delivery with your order number and clear photos or videos of the issue. For transit damage, also include photos of the outer packaging and shipping label. Keep the items and packaging until the issue is resolved. After checking, we’ll arrange an appropriate replacement or refund.

We don’t accept returns for a change of mind. You can also ask to exchange for a different variety or pack size. Please contact us first so we can explain the options. See our Return & refund policy for details.

Can I cancel my order?

Email export@haiyiplants.com within 48 hours of ordering, with your order number. We can cancel if the order hasn’t been handed to the carrier. A tracking number alone doesn’t mean it has shipped. Successfully cancelled orders are refunded in full, including shipping.
