How to Plant & Grow:

Site Preparation: Broccoli is a heavy feeder! Prepare a sunny bed with deep, loose, fertile soil. Work 3 inches (7.5 cm) of aged compost and a balanced organic vegetable fertilizer into the top 6 inches of soil.
Sowing: Direct sow seeds outdoors in early spring or late summer. Plant seeds ½ inch (1.2 cm) deep and cover with fine soil. Keep consistently moist.

Spacing:

For Dense, Continuous Shoot Harvest: Space seedlings 12 inches (30 cm) apart in rows spaced 18 inches (45 cm) apart. This close spacing encourages more side branching.
Square Foot Gardening: Plant 1 plant per 1-square-foot area.
Watering: Deep, consistent watering is critical. Give at least 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week. Fluctuating moisture will make the stems tough.
