Midnight Marvel produce constantemente enormes flores de 20 a 23 cm de color rojo puro durante toda la temporada. Las flores brillan contra un follaje de color púrpura intenso con hojas gruesas y coriáceas. Este hibisco galardonado es irresistible para los colibríes.
