How to Plant & Grow:

Spacing:

• For Dense, Trellised Rows: Sow seeds 2 inches (5 cm) apart in rows spaced 18 inches (45 cm) apart.
  
• Square Foot Gardening (SFG): Plant 8 to 10 seeds per 1-square-foot area along a central trellis.
  
• Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Provide about 1 inch of water per week, especially when the plants are flowering and forming pods. Mulch around the roots to retain moisture and keep the soil cool.
• Harvesting: Harvest frequently! The pods are ready to pick when they are plump, round, firm, and clearly feel filled with bulging peas (usually 60-65 days). Pick them every 2-3 days to encourage continuous production. Do not wait until the pods turn yellow or tough.
